Former Wichita State center Darius Carter signs with Georgian pro team
Former Wichita State center Darius Carter will play for Vita Tbilisi in the Republic of Georgia, he announced on his Instagram account Monday.
Vita Tbilisi plays in the VTB United League, the first tier of Russian pro teams, and the Georgia Super League.
Carter averaged 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Shockers in 2014-15. He earned honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Conference and a spot on the MVC’s Most-Improved Team. He played for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA’s summer league.
