Wichita State has lost back-to-back road games and three of its last five overall, but the Shockers had enough good will with voters around the country to remained ranked in the Associated Press college basketball rankings Monday.

The Shockers (17-5, 7-3 American) fell six spots to No. 22 following an 81-79 overtime loss at Temple last Thursday. WSU is one of 10 schools that has been ranked in every AP poll this season, while WSU’s streak of 18 straight appearances in the top-25 is the NCAA’s eighth-longest streak.

This week will see No. 22 Wichita State attempt to snap out of its recent road woes on Tuesday at Memphis (14-9, 5-5) and then against Connecticut (11-12, 4-6) at Koch Arena on Saturday.

Villanova, Virginia, and Purdue remained the top three teams, while Michigan State and Xavier moved into No. 4 and No. 5. AAC foe Cincinnati (21-2, 10-0 American) moved up two spots to No. 6, its highest ranking of the season.

The Big 12 featured four teams in the rankings with No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 10 Kansas, No. 17 Oklahoma, and No. 19 West Virginia.
