Kansas State lands first basketball commitment for 2017
The Kansas State basketball team has landed its first committment in its 2017 recruiting class.
Mike McGuirl, a 6-foot-2, 175 pound shooting guard from Bolton, Conn., orally committed to the Wildcats on Sunday. He is one of the top players at East Catholic High, averaging 19 points, six rebounds, four blocks and four assists last season. He is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals.
He chose K-State over Virginia Tech, Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason, Duquesne and several other schools. McGuirl announced the news on social media.
