Fugate Enterprises makes $2 million gift to Newman University
Fugate Enterprises has made a $2 million gift to Newman University to support the school’s science, nursing, and allied health professions program, the university said Wednesday in a news release.
Larry Fugate, owner of Fugate Enterprises, and his wife, Dana, have been longtime donors to Newman. Fugate Gymnasium and one of Newman’s residence halls carry the Fugate name in recognition of past gifts.
"Fugate Enterprises has a long history of support for Newman University and this generous gift will have major impact for our students for decades to come,” Newman president Noreen Carrocci said in a statement.
“We have been blessed to be able to support many great organizations over the years,” Larry Fugate said in a statement.
“We believe in our Catholic university, and especially in all it contributes to nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals in our region.”
