3 arrested in Newton on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping
Three people were arrested around 11 p.m. Friday after the Harvey County Emergency Response Team served a high-risk warrant in Newton, Sgt. Nef Torres said Saturday.
Socorro Hinojos Sr., 64, Donald Lional Crombie, 50, and Gina Whiteford, 35, were booked into the Harvey County Detention Facility on suspicion of aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary.
Torres said the three initially are expected to be charged in Harvey County, in connection with a previous incident.
Details about the original incident were not available Saturday, Torres said.
No one was injured while the warrant was served.
The Harvey County Emergency Response Team consists of units from the Newton Police Department, Harvey County Sheriff’s Office, Newton Fire and EMS, and Harvey County Communications.
