Police: Suspect sought in fatal shooting earlier this month

Authorities are searching for a 27-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in southeast Wichita.

Joshua Thomas is wanted in the death of Brandon Walters, 35, who was shot once inside his house in the 1700 block of South Roanoke late on the evening of March 3. Walters staggered outside and collapsed in the front yard, where he died.

Investigators later said they were looking for a man and woman who left the address in a red pickup. The vehicle was eventually found abandoned.
