Five people charged in Christmas Eve stabbing death
Five people were formally charged Monday afternoon in connection with the stabbing death of 42-year-old Moises Arias-Aranda, whose body was found in his Ford Expedition on Christmas Eve near Park City.
Authorities say Arias-Aranda was stabbed on 24th Street North before being left on the roadside in the 5100 block of North Hydraulic.
Those charged in Sedgwick County Court are Diego S. Olivas, first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping with a bond set at $500,000; Gabriel R. Lara, first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, bond $300,000; Jose A. Rojas, first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, bond $300,000; Amelia Wilson-Ramos, first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, bond $500,000; and Aubrey D. Cole, first-degree murder and bond at $1.5 million.
All have preliminary hearings scheduled for Jan. 20.
