Police have arrested two men in connection with this week’s double homicide on East Mossman, records show.

Sedgwick County Jail records released Saturday show that Brent J. Carter, 24, and Jamion D. Wimbley, 19, were being held on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with two shooting deaths Tuesday at a house in the 2500 block of East Mossman, near Ninth and Grove.

Both men were arrested Friday.

Police have said the shootings stemmed from a fight outside the house. On Wednesday police said they were looking for three suspects.

A 55-year-old woman, who was standing near her front porch and was not involved in the clash, was shot and retreated into her house, where she died. A 24-year-old man was struck by gunfire and was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Neither victim’s name has been released by the police.
