Wichita police still investigating case of 22 dead rabbits

Wichita police are continuing to investigate how 22 dead cottontail rabbits ended up on the driveways of residents along the 7000 block of Timberon Lane, near 13th and Woodlawn.

The dead rabbits were found Wednesday morning.

“Several community members have come forward and contacted Crime Stoppers,” Wichita police Lt. James Espinoza said Thursday. “There have been some leads. We are actively investigating this case. It will more than likely continue through the weekend into next week.”

Several neighborhood residents have called the investigation team, Espinoza said as well as Crime Stoppers.
