Wichita woman, 60, pleads guilty to running prostitution business

A 60-year-old Wichita woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to running a prostitution business.

Saundra J. Lacy, pleaded guilty this week to taking part in interstate commerce to further prostitution, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Thursday in a news release.

Also known as Jessie Lacy, she was indicted in June by a grand jury on 27 counts of racketeering in promoting prostitution from 2007 to 2012. She operated Jessie’s Primetime Entertainment at 304 S. Laura where at least 20 women were employed as escorts, according to the release.

Customers paid $160 for a half-hour date and $185 for an hour date with an escort. During dates, escorts engaged in sexual contact with customers, Grissom said. Lacy accepted cash, credit cards and checks as payment.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 29. The defense attorney and prosecutors have agreed to recommend 24 months probation, the release said.
