Valley Center police officer jailed on suspicion of sex crimes
A Valley Center police officer has been arrested on suspicion of sex crimes, Sedgwick County Jail records show.
The 49-year-old man was booked into jail shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday and is being held on $100,000 bond. He was being held on suspicion of rape, sexual battery, official misconduct and sexual exploitation of a child.
Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said he would release more information about the case on Friday.
