Cindy Klose retiring from KWCH at end of May

Cindy Klose, the longtime anchor of “KWCH 12 Eyewitness News,” will retire at the end of May.

Klose announced her decision during Wednesday’s 5 p.m. newscast. Her final show will air at 6:30 p.m. on May 25. It will be a special edition of the show that will celebrate Klose’s career.

Klose started at KWCH in 1991 as an anchor on the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts. Her career before that included stints at “CNN Headline News” and WCI in Champaign, Ill.

Klose, 59, is planning to spend more time with her husband, Bob Hull, who works as a color commentator for Wichita State University men’s basketball games, and visiting her grown children, according to a news release from the station. She also plans to spend more time on the tennis court.
