Immigration officials picked up a man in Wichita who was in the country illegally on Jan. 30. The next day, his wife told The Eagle about what had happened. This was one of the first arrests in Kansas under the Trump administration's new immigration policies, but it is typical of the wider net being cast by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Tyerria Miles, babysitter of 2-year-old Jhornee Bland, whose body was found in a field last year, was sentenced on Wednesday for interfering with law enforcement.
