“The Hole” on Douglas is no more.

The Wichita Downtown Development Corp. held the grand opening Friday of the ICT Pop-Up Urban Park at 121 E. Douglas. The park replaced a giant construction hole at the site, which is between Market and Main.

The park, funded by a Knight Foundation grant, includes tables and chairs, planters with trees, a concrete Ping-Pong table, pieces of art and overhead string lighting. Food trucks will be at the park Mondays through Fridays serving lunch.

Project partners include the Knight Foundation, Wichita Community Foundation, Bokeh Development and the WDDC.
