Wesley Healthcare’s VP of marketing to leave for higher position in company

Wesley Healthcare’s vice president of marketing will leave the hospital next Friday for a promotion within Wesley’s parent company.

Nick Adams accepted a position as associate vice president of marketing and public relations for Hospital Corporation of America, Wesley’s parent company.

Adams will oversee a region of six hospitals in Louisiana and Mississippi in his new role based in New Orleans.

He will leave Wesley Healthcare on Jan. 22 and start his new position Feb. 2.

Adams led the marketing and public relations of several projects during his 2 1/2 years at Wesley, including Wesley Children’s Hospital and a branding overhaul of Wesley Healthcare.

“The last year at Wesley has been the most fulfilling and fun of my career,” he said.

He’s originally from Louisiana and said the position will allow him to raise his children closer to family.

Bill Voloch, president and CEO of Wesley Healthcare, said he was sad to see Adams leave.

“He did an amazing job for us while he was here, and we are going to dearly miss him,” he said.

Voloch said he had not yet filled Adams’ position and continued to seek applications.
