Central and Maize Road Dillons to upgrade in several ways

The Dillons at Central and Maize Road is the latest one to begin remodeling and making additions.

The chain is adding a Little Clinic, an in-store health care clinic, near its pharmacy. It should be ready this fall.

The store also is adding items to its produce, floral and deli departments along with adding a new sushi island and upgrading its selection of gourmet cheeses and olives.

“We’re also using it as an opportunity to integrate our natural foods throughout the store,” says spokeswoman Sheila Lowrie.

She says that means customers will be able to compare labels on natural and organic items side-by-side with other products.

Lowrie won’t confirm whether the remodel will include adding a drive-through lane for customers who make grocery orders online for curbside pickup, but someone at the store says that will be the case.
