IHOP opens at Southfork
The new IHOP at Southfork opened Tuesday, a day later than Ali Issa planned.
“We decided to take a day break after 15 days of training,” he says.
One day extra isn’t much considering how long the restaurant took to open after delays with the Southfork development, which is at the southwest corner of 47th Street South and I-135.
“It’s been a long journey,” Issa says. “We’ve been trying to get this done for the last two years.”
Issa and his brothers, Ty and Mike, have three other IHOPs along with a number of other restaurants, including Larkspur, Scotch & Sirloin and Hereford House.
With the Southfork IHOP now open, that doesn’t mean the Issas are now on to their next new restaurant.
“I want to go have breakfast right now,” Ali Issa says. “That’s all I’m thinking of.”
