Value Place signs deal with developer to build hotels in Minneapolis

Value Place said Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with a Minnesota developer to build three hotels in the Minneapolis area.

The Wichita-based extended-stay hotel chain said the deal with United Development Solutions calls for construction of Value Place hotels in Fridley, Burnsville and Mendota Heights, Minn.

Value Place said in a news release that it will work with United Development to establish as many as seven additional hotels there.

“Value Place has a proven track record of opening hotels, as well as the experience and expertise to help us meet our aggressive development goals for metro Minneapolis,” said Troy Hoekstra, partner of United Development, in the release.

Value Place has nearly 200 hotels in 32 states, 81 of which it owns.
