Open house

Wichita Women’s Initiative Network will mark its 20th anniversary with an open house and ribbon cutting from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 13 at 510 E. Third. From 6:30 p.m. to midnight, Wichita WIN will host an anniversary fundraiser at the Wichita Boathouse, 515 S. Wichita. The fundraiser will include food stations, an open bar, a silent auction and music by local band, Annie Up. Tickets to the fundraiser are $75 each and can be ordered online at wichitawin.org/win-20th-event.

Naming rights

Capitol Federal has acquired the naming rights to Andover’s new Central Park amphitheater, construction of which is expected to be completed later this year.

Charity

Westlake Ace Hardware raised $3,287 in Wichita for the Salvation Army’s fan drive. Westlake purchased 221 fans at cost with the money raised from customers and donated an additional 50 fans, making the total number of fans donated 271.

The Air Capital Classic golf tournament donated $23,500 to Envision to support the nonprofit’s annual, four-week-long golf clinic for youth and adults with vision loss.

The Opportunity Project (TOP) Early Learning Centers received an $8,000 Wichita Community Foundation Magnify Grant to provide training to 100 teachers and staff on creating trauma sensitive schools.
