Local grain marketer merges to form one of country’s largest groups

Comark Grain Marketing of Cheney and Equity Marketing Alliance of Enid, Okla. are merging to form Comark Equity Alliance as of Aug. 1.

According to the companies, the consolidation will make it one of the country’s largest federally licensed marketing groups.

Alan Woodard, CEO of Farm Credit of Southern Colorado, has been named as the company’s new CEO.

CEA will be owned by 28 farmer-owned cooperatives with 160 locations in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. CEA will keep administrative offices in both Cheney and Enid. About 20 people will work at both locations.
