Will Kansas starting adding jobs again after months of a weak growth?
The number of jobs in Kansas in October was up slightly from September, but down 5,300 from a year ago.
The sector seeing the biggest losses was construction from a year ago, down about 4,700 from a year ago.
The unemployment rate was a seasonally-adjusted 4.4 percent, considered fairly strong, but up considerably from the 4.0 percent of a year ago.
In Wichita, the number of jobs is up 1,500 from a year ago, but down from September. The unemployment rate is 4.5 percent.
