Night on Wichita party bus ends in gunfire

A night out on a party bus ended in a disturbance early Saturday that resulted in someone firing three shots into a home in southwest Wichita, police said. No one was hit by the gunfire.

Sgt. Scott Brunow said the dispute broke out shortly before 3 a.m. after those on the bus got off in the 1700 block of South Richmond. After some of the riders went into a nearby house, Brunow said, another party to the dispute fired into the house.

He said the house was occupied at the time by 11 people ranging in age from 14 to 35.
