Police: Teddy Bear’s employee arrested in connection with fires at club
A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson and burglary in connection with fires at an Oaklawn gentlemen’s club, jail booking records show.
Sedgwick County Fire Marshal Tavis Leake on Friday confirmed the arrest and said the woman is an employee of Teddy Bear’s, where fires were set on June 15 and 19. The Wichita woman was booked into Sedgwick County Jail at 6:29 p.m. Wednesday and held in lieu of $25,000 bond, booking records show.
She was no longer in custody by Friday evening, a jail deputy said.
Leake said the case remained under investigation as of Friday. Teddy Bear’s, 4858 S. Clifton, sustained about $84,000 in estimated damage as a result of the arsons.
