Come on now, people. Don’t you know by now not to believe everything you see on the Internet?

The little rumor trolls have been particularly busy lately churning out fake news about Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of HGTV’s popular “Fixer Upper.”

First there were rumors Joanna was leaving the show. Then they were reportedly leaving Waco, Texas. (Not.) Then fans apparently started seeing “news” that the couple are splitting up.

Then, did you hear that Joanna is really a cyborg? (Just kidding. Sorta. Keep reading.)

A fan of the show tweeted over the weekend that she was “so sick of these ‘stories’ claiming @joannagaines and @chippergaines breaking up.”

Apparently she wasn’t the only one “sick” of those rumors, because Chip himself addressed them by replying to the fan: “Won’t ever happen.. you can take that to the bank!” he tweeted.

He and Joanna have been married since 2003 and have four children. Chip was the first to say “I love you,” he told Us Weekly last year.

To which Joanna said, “Thank you.”

“Yeah, that’s the way cyborgs respond to ‘I love you,’” Chip joked. “She said ‘thank you’ and I was like, ‘I am so freaking sick of this,’ and I grabbed my basketball and I walked home like a 4-year-old.”

In a June cover story in People magazine, the popular TV hosts talked about how maintaining a healthy marriage takes effort and talk.

“Every now and then there are times when we notice we’re getting off track and have to regroup,” Chip told People. “But it’s like everything we care about, everything that’s important to us — we know it’s going to require work.”

Some of that “work” takes the form of Tuesday “date nights.”

“I love a good steak every now and then, but we tend to frequent our local holes-in-the-wall for street tacos and queso,” Joanna said. “After dinner we get ice cream and drive around Waco to go down memory lane and visit our old stomping grounds.”
