‘The Notebook’ author Nicholas Sparks coming to Wichita

Nicholas Sparks, the author known for popular books like “The Notebook” and “A Walk to Remember,” is coming to Wichita.

Sparks will be in town on Oct. 7 for a signing of his new book, “Two by Two,” which goes on sale Oct. 4. His appearance will be at 6 p.m. at 4723 E. Douglas, in the former Heads Shoes space four doors down from Watermark Books & Cafe.

“Two by Two,” about a man whose seemingly perfect life crumbles and who must learn to take on single parenting, is Sparks’ 20th book. He will visit eight cities to promote it. All of his books have been New York Times bestsellers, and he has sold more than 105 million copies worldwide. Many of Sparks’ novels have been turned into popular movies.
