Vicki Lawrence brings her Mama persona to Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre, 18 E. First Ave., on Thursday night. Lawrence first morphed into Thelma Harper aka Mama as part of the iconic “Carol Burnett Show.” She went on to star in her own sitcom, “Mama’s Family.” The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Ghoulish Gala

The kids have their parties, now it’s time for the grown-ups to party. The Ghoulish Gala at Botanica, 701 Amidon, is from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Friday . The event, which includes food, drinks, and dancing, is a benefit for the Joyland Carousel Project. This party will also have a costume contest, carnival games, wagon rides and a silent auction. Boo & Brew Ball

The partying continues on Saturday night with the 14th annual Boo & Brew Ball, which is happening from 8 p.m. to midnight at Venue 3130, 3130 W. Central. This year’s event, which is formal masquerade-themed, will have live music by Annie Up, a costume contest, food and drinks, live and silent auctions and more. The event benefits Dress for Success, which helps women looking to re-enter the workforce.
