David Blaine stops at Orpheum on first North American tour
David Blaine, famous for his death-defying public stunts and mind-boggling street magic, will take the stage at the Orpheum Theatre to perform an original, interactive magic show.
The show, at 8 p.m. Monday at the Orpheum, 200 N. Broadway, is a part of Blaine’s first North American tour.
No two shows will be alike, according to a news release, and he may be attempting stunts never before done in front of a live audience.
Blaine, a magician, illusionist and stuntman for over two decades, has aired nine prime-time specials in his career and has a reality film, “What Is Magic?” on Netflix.
Whether it’s catching a bullet in his mouth or entrapping himself in ice for nearly three days, Blaine has not shied away from gut-wrenching stunts.
Literally, he has produced living creatures and items from within his gut before.
Blaine has performed for multiple presidents, such as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, according to his website. He has also performed for prominent figures such as Muhammad Ali and Stephen Hawking.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for the show. Tickets range from $36.50 to $76.50. VIP and Meet and Greet packages also are available. Tickets are available at www.selectaseat.com, 855-755-7328 or the Intrust Bank Arena box office, 500 E. Waterman.
