Report: Spirit plans N.C. plant

Spirit AeroSystems will open a plant in Kinston, N.C., and initially will employ 1,100 people, a North Carolina paper reported. Spirit will invest $600 million in the project at the Global TransPark, a struggling state-owned industrial park, the Kinston Free Press reported.

Dillon Cos. has purchased the closed Fleming convenience store at 13th and Maize Road, reportedly clearing the way for another battleground in the fight for Wichita gas market share with QuikTrip.
