Introducing the Wichita Eagle’s 2026 All-Metro girls soccer team

The Wichita Eagle has selected its All-Metro girls soccer team for the 2026 spring season, recognizing the top players and coaches from Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties.

The teams were selected after reviewing all-league and all-state teams from across the Wichita area, gathering feedback from coaches and evaluating players’ statistics, roles and team success. It is not designed simply as a list of the area’s most talented players, but rather a blend of elite ability, top-tier statistical production and the kind of winning impact to represent all levels of play around the Wichita area.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel junior forward Sara Claire Michaelis, an Oklahoma State commit, was named the All-Metro Player of the Year after racking up 39 goals and 21 assists to earn All-American status and the Kansas Gatorade Girls Soccer Player of the Year award.
