Former Bishop Carroll quarterback signs with NFL team
The Belldozer is back.
Blake Bell, former Bishop Carroll and University of Oklahoma quarterback, was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ active roster Tuesday.
Bell was last seen in the NFL in 2017 with the Minnesota Vikings, but he was dropped after a shoulder injury and has not been picked up since.
Bell graduated from Bishop Carroll in 2009. As a senior, he threw for 2,752 yards and 32 touchdowns. He helped the Golden Eagles to the Class 5A quarterfinals.
The San Fransisco 49ers drafted Bell as a tight end in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
