All-State selection Kennedy Brown is trading green for red, white and blue.

Brown is one of 36 high school girls basketball players who will attend the 2018 USA Women's U18 National Team Trials on May 26-28. She is the only representative from Kansas.

Standign 6-foot-6, she was an instrumental part to Derby's first girls basketball state championship in 2018, beating Olathe East. Brown averaged 14.4 points, 12 rebounds and 4.2 blocks per game as a junior and was often double or triple teamed in the paint.

Brown was invited to the U17 trial in 2016 with fellow Derby standout, Tor'e Alford.

Brown has been highly sought after on the recruiting trail and cut her suitors to seven March 17: Baylor, Louisville, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee and UCLA.
