Wichita-area high school baseball rankings: Meet the top players to know
Every high school baseball season in the Wichita area produces its own mix of familiar names and fresh discoveries.
Some players entered the spring already circled on scouting reports with varsity resumes, college interest or all-league honors attached to their names. Others have used this season to announce themselves around the state on the more than 50 teams in the Wichita area.
This list is designed to capture that full picture. It is not a strict ranking of the area’s best players, but a broad look at many of the names worth knowing across the City League, the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League and the rest of the Wichita-area baseball scene in Kansas.
Selections were made with an emphasis on success during the 2026 season, while also factoring in past production, career accomplishments, team success and coach input.
