Introducing the Wichita Eagle All-Metro baseball team for 2025 season

The Wichita area featured some of the best high school baseball players in Kansas this season, and that star power is highlighted on 2025 All-Metro team selected by The Eagle.

The All-Metro squad features the top players and top coaches from teams in Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties. Selections are based on statistics, team success and postseason recognition.

After helping Trinity Academy win the program’s first state championship this season, senior two-way star Josiah Sems was named the Baseball Player of the Year on the All-Metro team.

2025 Wichita Eagle All-Metro baseball team

Cole Adams, Eisenhower senior

The ace on the staff that powered the Tigers to an 18-win season and return to the Class 5A state tournament. Adams, a Butler commit, was voted the AV-CTL Division II Pitcher of the Year after compiling a 1.18 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 29-plus innings. He is a 2-time All-Metro selection.

Caleb Back, Trinity Academy sophomore

The sophomore was the winning pitcher for Trinity in the Class 3A state championship game. A second team all-state choice, Back maintained a 0.94 ERA and struck out 51 hitters in 37-plus innings while hitting .290 at the plate with 26 runs and 18 RBIs.

Will Beckmann, Northwest senior

A 2-way force in the City League who was voted a first team all-state outfielder in Class 6A on a 15-win Northwest team. Beckmann, a Tabor commit, hit .404 at the plate with 27 runs and 25 RBIs, while also keeping a 3.33 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 42 innings on the mound.

Brady Boomsma, Heights senior

One of the best third basemen in the state, Boomsma earned first team all-state honors in Class 6A. The Pratt commit swung one of the most dangerous bats in the Wichita area, as he finished with a .523 batting average with 29 runs and 38 RBIs.

Josh Burdick, Cheney senior

One of the best 3-sport athletes in Kansas, Burdick delivered his best baseball season to date for a 20-win Cheney squad. Burdick, who will play football at Emporia State, was named the Player of the Year in the Central Plains League and a first team all-state catcher in Class 3A. He finished with a .511 batting average with 31 runs and 31 RBIs to go along with a 1.91 ERA on the mound with 54 strikeouts in 44 innings.

Grady Clements, Campus senior

A premier catcher in the state who helped Campus win 19 games this season. Clements was voted Co-Player of the Year in the AV-CTL Division I and a second team all-state catcher in Class 6A. He finished with a .457 batting average with a team-high 37 RBIs.

Parker Clubb, Mulvane junior

The Louisville commit was part of a Mulvane pitching staff that shattered the state record for team strikeouts. He struck out 84 in 45-plus innings with a 1.24 ERA, while also hitting .362 at the plate with 18 runs and 21 RBIs. He was voted Co-MVP in the AV-CTL Division III and a first team all-state pitcher in Class 4A. He is a 2-time All-Metro selection.

Corey Crumrine, Sedgwick senior

Voted the Class 2-1A Pitcher of the Year for the second year in a row after fanning 119 batters in 65-plus innings with a 0.64 ERA. The Friends commit also hit .325 at the plate with 42 runs and 20 RBIs for a Sedgwick team that finished with a 25-1 record. He is a 2-time All-Metro selection.

Braxton Martin, Bishop Carroll senior

The ace on a deep pitching staff at Carroll that won 21 games. Martin, a Butler commit, was voted a first team all-state pitcher in Class 5A after finishing with a 1.25 ERA in 50-plus innings to go along with 43 strikeouts.

Parker Meirowsky, Maize junior

A big bat playing first base for a 20-win Maize team that returned to the Class 6A state tournament. Meirowsky finished with a .396 batting average with 24 runs and 11 RBIs this season.

Carter Pabst, Eisenhower senior

After piecing together a historic football season, Pabst was a 2-way force for an Eisenhower team that played in the Class 5A state tournament again. The Washington State football commit was named a first team all-state outfielder in Class 5A after hitting .446 with 28 runs and 26 RBIs to go along with a 0.78 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 18 innings.

Braden Roberts, Trinity Academy senior

A senior leader on the first Trinity team to win a state championship in program history. Roberts, a Southwestern commit, was voted a first team all-state outfielder in Class 3A after finishing with a .432 batting average, 49 runs and 18 RBIs.

Grey Sanders, Mulvane junior

Another one of the aces on a record-breaking Mulvane pitching staff, Sanders earned second team all-state recognition in Class 4A. He maintained a 0.99 ERA with 95 strikeouts in 42-plus innings to help Mulvane win 21 games and return to the 4A state tournament.

Josiah Sems, Trinity Academy senior

One of the handful of seniors who helped lead Trinity to its first state championship in program history. Sems, a Cowley commit, was once again a 2-way force for the Knights, as he finished with a .386 batting average, 39 runs and 28 RBIs to go along with a 1.41 ERA on the mound and 47 strikeouts in 34-plus innings. He was voted a first team all-state shortstop in Class 3A.

Keagen Shelite, Hesston senior

The senior outfielder helped spearhead a run to the Class 3A state championship final for an 18-win Hesston team. Shelite, a Cowley commit, finished with a .403 batting average, 32 runs and 34 RBIs while earning first team all-state honors in 3A.

Karston Wall, Sedgwick senior

Named Co-Player of the Year in Class 2-1A, Wall was the most dangerous bat for a 25-1 Sedgwick team. The Barton commit finished with a .554 batting average with 54 runs and 52 RBIs, while also maintaining a 1.01 ERA on the mound with 68 strikeouts in 34-plus innings.

Hagen Warkins, Campus junior

Another 2-way star in the Wichita area, Warkins was named AV-CTL Division I Pitcher of the Year and voted a first team all-state player in Class 6A. Splitting time at third base and pitcher, Warkins finished with a .423 batting average, 29 runs and 23 RBIs at the plate and a 0.31 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 45-plus innings on the mound.

Matt Baty, Trinity Academy coach

A first-year head coach who helped guide a solid core of veterans and a deep cast of talented underclassmen to the program’s first state championship. The Knights finished with a 27-5 record and won the Class 3A title with a 10-3 victory over Hesston in the title game.
