Wichita Eagle honors top high school girls tennis players on 2025 All-Metro team
The Wichita area featured some of the best high school girls tennis players in Kansas this season, and that star power is highlighted on 2025 All-Metro team selected by The Eagle.
The All-Metro squad features the top players in singles and doubles, as well as a Coach of the Year, from teams in Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties. Selections are based on season-long performance with a heavy emphasis on postseason finishes.
After winning the Class 5A singles championship, Andover senior Mia Jaramillo was named the Girls Tennis Player of the Year on the All-Metro team.

Hitha Ganganala, Collegiate freshman
Headlining a talented freshmen class, Ganganala was superb right away for Collegiate with a 26-1 record to become the Class 4A singles state champion in dominant fashion. She also helped the Spartans win their 17th straight team state championship.
Mia Jaramillo, Andover senior
Another 2-time All-Metro selection, Jaramillo elevated her game for her senior year and was crowned the Class 5A singles champion with a 28-2 record. After finishing runner-up to a teammate last year, Jaramillo helped Andover win its fifth straight team state title with her own gold medal this season.
Allison Munhall, Valley Center senior
Spectacularly solid all season, Munhall was the Emporia regional champion and then finished third overall in the Class 5A singles field at the state tournament. She is a first-time All-Metro selection following a 34-3 season.
Emma Jittawait (senior) and Ada Tantemsomboon (junior), Andover
A second straight showing for the Jittawait-Tantemsomboon pairing on the All-Metro team, this time as champions. After finishing runner-up in doubles last year to teammates, Jittawait and Tantemsomboon would not be denied this season with a perfect 31-0 record to help Andover win a fifth straight team title.
Amelia Blackman (senior) and Tanya Ramesh (freshman), Collegiate
After years of playing singles, Blackman shifted to doubles for her senior year and paired well with Ramesh, a freshman. In the end, the partnership produced a 26-4 record and four straight wins at the Class 4A state tournament to win the state title. They also helped the Spartans win their 17th straight team state championship.
Caroline Hocker (junior) and Chloe Hocker (junior), Kapaun Mt. Carmel
The Hocker sisters finished with a 30-3 record and played for the Class 5A title in doubles, finishing runner-up to Andover. They helped the Crusaders take home a third-place trophy in the team race.
Simon Norman, Collegiate coach
The legendary coach added another state title to the ledger, leading Collegiate to its 17th straight team championship while adding the ninth title to his resume. Norman took over the program from Dave Hawley in 2023 and has guided the Spartans to their last three titles, including this one in Class 4A with a group that featured four freshmen. Hitha Ganganala won the singles crown, while Amelia Blackman and Tanya Ramesh teamed up to win the doubles field. Other team members included Natalia Saad, Natalie Nichols and Giana Shuart.
