Kansas high school bowling regional results: Andover Central girls bowler wins title
After becoming just the fifth girl in the history of Kansas high school bowling to roll a perfect game of 300 earlier this season, Andover Central junior Paighton Crumley now has another accolade.
Crumley won individual gold medalist honors at the Class 5-1A regional hosted at The Alley on Wednesday, as her series of 622 pins highlighted a week of regional tournaments to set the field for next week’s KSHSAA state tournaments.
The regional featured some of the top talent in Class 5A, as the competition for the three team bids to state was fierce. Goddard Eisenhower won the girls team title with 2,882 pins, barely edging out Bishop Carroll, which finished runner-up with 2,830 pins. The third and final qualifying spot came down to Maize South (2,675) and Andover Central (2,612) with 63 pins separating the two.
Eisenhower was led by two medalists in the top-5 in Olyvia Choura (578, third) and Danae Loomis (549, fifth). Other team members included Kaitlyn Newell, Gabby Beck, Ali Boor and Jorah Reynolds.
Meanwhile, Carroll placed three in the top-6 with senior Katie Limon (581, second), senior Lacey Wise (556, fourth) and sophomore Donna McClellan (536, sixth). Other team members were junior Emerson Daugherty, junior Kara Chippeaux and sophomore Melanie Stockemer.

On the boys side, Andover won the team title going away with a score of 3,343 pins, which was followed by Eisenhower (3,203) and Trinity Academy (3,196) for the remaining two state slots. Andover Central (3,135) once again came agonizingly close to a team bid.
Andover’s team title was led by individual champion Trevor Formy-Duval, a senior who rolled a 698 series, while he was followed by Jack Moll (649, third) and Jackson Schumacher (612, eighth) in the top-10. Other team members were Landon Light, Conner Offutt and Garrett Ring.
