Top 100 Wichita-area boys multi-sport athletes: Ranked by resume and impact
In an era of early specialization, these boys athletes chose the hard road — and thrived.
From the fall to spring championships, the Wichita area is home to a deep crop of multi-sport stars who stack all-league honors and state hardware across multiple sports. This list of the 100 best multi-sport athletes recognizes the most accomplished male high school athletes from Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties who stood out in more than one varsity sport during the 2024-25 school year.
The list is divided into three main categories — three-sport athletes, dual-sport standouts and distance-running specialists. Athletes were ranked based on a combination of team success, individual accolades and impact across multiple sports, with added weight given to performance in high-profile team sports like basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball and the higher classification. Postseason achievements, All-Metro selections, all-league and all-state honors, and key contributions to championship runs all factored heavily into the rankings.
This list isn’t just about participation. It’s about those rare athletes who move the needle in more than one sport. These are the players who rarely leave the spotlight, no matter the season.
