Southeast’s Jerrick Harding named Kansas boys player of the year by Gatorade
Jerrick Harding already had one of the most memorable seasons in City League boys basketball history. He completed it Thursday when he was named boys player of the year in Kansas by Gatorade.
Harding averaged 28 points in leading the Golden Buffaloes to the Class 6A championship game, a loss to Shawnee Mission North.
Harding was named All-City League by the league’s coaches, All-Metro (three-county area) by The Eagle and this Sunday will appear as an All-State player in The Eagle.
Finishing his career with 1,818 points, Harding is the No. 4 scorer in City League history. He trails Conner Frankamp (2,295), Perry Ellis (2,231) and Greg Dreiling (1,864).
