2-1A softball: Chase County defends title, beats Udall

Alex Snovelle homered to spark Chase County to a 2-0 victory over Udall in the Class 2-1A softball championship in Emporia.

Victoria Benvin, who threw a no-hitter in a 2-0 semifinal win over Oskaloosa, took the loss.

In the third-place game, Ell-Saline scored twice in the top of the 10th to edge Oskaloosa 6-4. Sesely Omli and Amber Bird hit homers for Ell-Saline.
