Wingnuts beat Lemurs 7-2
The Wingnuts rode a five-run fifth inning to a 7-2 win over the Lemurs on Saturday night in Laredo, Texas.
Seven consecutive Wichita batters reached base in the fifth, starting with a homer by Zack Cox.
Nick Van Stratten had three hits, including a triple, and score two runs.
Wichita has locked up a spot in the American Association playoffs that begin Wednesday, and has a one game lead over St. Paul for the best record in the league. The regular season ends Monday.
