Wingnuts top Lincoln 5-4

Brennen Salgado’s fifth-inning home run put the Wingnuts ahead and they hung on to beat host Lincoln 5-4 in an American Association baseball game Thursday delayed at the star by almost 2 1/2 hours.

Salgado’s two-run homer was his third hit of the night and his first professional home run.

Tim Brown got the Wichita victory, giving up three earned runs over six innings.
