Alex Boshers’ complete game leads Wingnuts over Lemurs 6-2
Alex Boshers pitched his first complete game of the season, leading the Wingnuts to a 6-2 win over Laredo on Tuesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
Boshers, who began the season in the bullpen, was making his sixth start. He retired 10 straight Lemurs beginning with the final out of the fifth inning. The streak ended when he gave up a homer to open the ninth.
Richard Prigatano and Brent Clevlen hit home runs for the Wingnuts, who have won 21 of their last 26 games and lead the American Association South Division by two games over the Lemurs.
The series wraps up Wednesday night.
