Wingnuts remain hot with 6-2 win over AirHogs

The Wingnuts continued their torrid June, beat Texas 6-2 on Tuesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium for their third straight win.

Wichita improved to 18-7 in June and maintained a 1 1/2-game lead over Laredo in the American Association South Division.

Tim Brown limited the AirHogs to two runs in six innings, and Jesse Pratt finished with three perfect innings for his first professional save.

Martin Medina hit a two-run homer in the fourth to give the Wingnuts a 2-1 lead. Dustin Geiger hit a two-run single in the fifth to make it 4-1, and Zack Cox and Brent Clevlen each drove in a run in the sixth to make it 6-2.
