Wingnuts return home, beat Explorers 6-3
Tim Brown pitched seven efficient innings and the Wingnuts beat Sioux City 6-3 on Thursday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
Brown threw 87 pitches and didn’t walk a batter while allowing five singles and a double. Fabian Roman and Frankie Reed followed with scoreless innings.
Richard Prigatano hit a double, a triple and a homer for the Wingnuts. T.J. Mittelstaedt hit a two-run triple as the Wingnuts took a 3-0 lead in the third inning. Prigatano’s solo homer came in the sixth after the Explorers had pulled within 3-2.
