Wingnuts win fifth straight
Brent Clevlen had five hits and drove in five runs, sparking the Wingnuts’ offense in a 13-9 win over the Texas AirHogs on Friday night in Amarillo, Texas.
Cleven hit a three-run homer in the second inning to Wichita ahead 4-1. Texas tied it with three runs in the bottom of the second.
The Wingnuts reclaimed the lead with a three-run fourth inning, then T.J. Mittelstaedt hit a three-run homer during a four-run fifth that put the Wingnuts ahead 11-3.
The Wingnuts (11-11) have won five games in a row.
