Lemurs shut out Wingnuts 5-0
Lemurs pitchers Luis Pollorena John Brebbia shut down the Wingnuts, pitching a seven-hit shutout in a 5-0 win on Saturday night in Laredo, Texas, to end the Wingnuts’ five-game winning streak.
Pollorena went 6 2/3 and gave up just five singles. Since moving into the Laredo starting rotation July 4, Pollorena is 4-1 with a 1.59 ERA.
The Lemurs scored all five runs with two outs in the third inning off Wichita starter Omar Bencomo (5-1), who suffered his first loss of the season. A single, a walk and four doubles accounted for the runs.
