Quad City scored three goals in the second period and three more in the third, beating the Thunder 6-2 on Saturday night in Moline, Ill.
The victory kept the Mallards ahead of the Thunder in the battle for second place in the ECHL Central Division.
RG Flath scored a second-period goal for Wichita, and Ian Duval scored in the third period.
