Thunder loses 5-4 at Rapid City

Johan Ryd’s second goal of the game gave the Rush a 5-4 win over the Thunder on Friday night in Rapid City, S.D.

The Thnder tied the score 4-4 on Ian Lowe’s power-play goal at 6:04 of the third period. Ryd scored the game-winner at 12:51.

Ryd and Cody Ferriero each had two goals for the Rush, and Jesse Schultz had four assists.

The game’s first three goals were scored in a 41-second span of the first period, then the Rush made it 2-2 with a goal in the final minute of the first. Todd Hosmer put the Thunder ahead 3-2 early in the second period, but Rapid City led 4-3 before the end of the period.

Jared Walker and Kenton Miller also scored for the Thunder.
