Thunder back home to face Quad City
The Thunder plays host to the Quad City Mallards on Tuesday night, hoping to get off to a better start than in Saturday’s 4-1 home loss.
Quad City scored the first four goals before Wichita scored in the third period. Game time is 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Though Wichita has lost two straight, the last-place Thunder (16-38-6-6) is playing some of its better hockey of the season. The team is 5-5 over its last 10 games and its the first time this season that the Thunder has been .500 over a 10-game ECHL stretch.
After Tuesday, the Thunder goes to Rapid City, S.D., for games Friday and Saturday against the Rush. Wichita’s final home games are April 6 and April 8 against Tulsa.
