Americans beat Thunder one last time
David Makowski scored with just over a minute to go in the third period and helped Allen beat the Thunder 3-2 on Sunday in Allen, Texas, in the final meeting of the season between the two teams.
The Americans scored two goals in the game’s first 10 minutes and the Thunder spent the next 48 minutes trying to catch up. Kale Kerbashian’s second-period goal made it 2-1, and Ian Lowe tied the score with 1:43 remaining in the third after the Thunder had pulled the goalie, but Makowski scored 29 seconds later for the Americans.
