Thunder defeats Mallards again
The Thunder scored three third-period goals and Tyler Bunz made 33 saves in a 4-1 win over the Quad City Mallards on Friday in Moline, Ill.
The game was scoreless for 38 minutes until Nikita Kashirsky put the Thunder ahead 1-0 late in the second period.
Quad City tied the score at 5:59 of the third period, but Wichita regained the lead 44 seconds later on a goal by Jared Walker. Ian Duval made it 3-1 at 13:36, and Danick Gauthier got his team-leading 15th goal with an empty-netter at 18:05.
